We are working with an established Plastics company based in Preston. They are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a Perm Nights.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Fault finding / diagnosis on a range of PLC controlled systems including Omrom /Mitsubishi and Direct Logic
- Fault diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of a range of old and new electrical and mechanical plant and equipment including electrical panels, motors and pneumatics
- Ensuring all downtime is kept to a minimum by carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance activities
- Installation of new machinery
- Keeping records of all maintenance activities
- Occasional tooling changes
- Testing of fire pumps and other safety equipment
- Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe manner and that HS&E standards are adhered to at all times
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Time served electrical & mechanical engineer (HNC / NQV level 3)
- Experience working in a dynamic manufacturing environment
- Experience working in plastics moulding industry
- Competent experience of automated systems (PLC)
- Experience of working with pneumatic systems
- Electrical fault finding (control panels, motors, sensors etc
- 17th / 18th Edition
