Here at GoFind Recruitment, we are proud to be representing an industry leading and award winning Communication Systems business in their search for a proactive and results driven Operations Manager to join their dynamic team based at their offices in the Preston area.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations with a focus on overseeing the end-to-end delivery of installation projects, driving efficiency and ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety and client satisfaction.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for streamlining workflows, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring that all departments work collaboratively to support the company's goals.

Roles & Responsibilities (But not limited to):

  • Oversee and continually improve processes to increase productivity, reduce costs and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinate client communications and ensure contract compliance.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of installations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring all requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set and achieve short- and long-term operational goals.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations, championing a safety-first culture, and ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across all projects.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation within the operation.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular performance reports, updates, and financial summaries to senior management.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Experience / Qualifications:

Essential

  • 5+ years of experience in operations or project management, preferably within a technology, construction, or systems installation environment.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging confidently with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with mass communication platforms, content management systems (CMS), and project management tools.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions.
  • Deep understanding of health & safety standards and compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Desirable

  • A background or interest in technology, particularly AV/PA systems or systems installation.
  • Experience working within or delivering services to the education sector.
  • Knowledge of both public and private sector operations, including procurement and compliance standards.
