Mass Properties Engineer

My client is a Global leading Aerospace and Defence organisation. Recruiting for a Mass Properties Engineer with the responsibility of all new design and of changes which include analysing production drawings, change authorities, Catia models, 2-D drawings, etc

Responsibilities:

  • Mass property modelling of all the design activities
  • Mass properties management of full aircrafts supporting our final assembly activities
  • Management of the safety critical Upload Mass properties data for all the in-service fleets
  • Management of the aircraft mass properties for all assets that support our flight-testing activities
  • Aircraft and stores weighing activities
  • Development of the mass properties toolsets

Required experience:

  • Understanding of data/data management and having strong numeracy skills
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of managing a mass properties system
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency - eg macros, pivot tables, visual basic etc
