What You’ll Be Doing:As a Band 6 mental health nurse you will provide compassionate care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will involve assessing patients’ needs, developing care plans, administering medication, and delivering therapeutic interventions. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and person-centered care. Additionally, you will offer emotional support, crisis intervention, and health education to patients and their families, helping them on their journey to recovery.
Requirements & Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need a valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN). Non medical prescriber essential. Strong clinical assessment, risk management, along with experience working within a multidisciplinary team, are essential. Sound knowledge of the Care Programme Approach (CPA), safeguarding policies, and mental health legislation is also required.
Working Hours & Contract Duration:This role offers a flexible working position, requiring full-time availability (37.5 hours per week) which can be worked over 3 days. The contract is initially for 3-6 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
