Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse

A well-established 38-bedded independent mental health facility, set within lush, green grounds and easily accessible via the M6 and M55, is looking for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join their team. The hospital specializes in acute mental health crisis care and offers a dedicated unit for eating disorders, working closely with the NHS to achieve the best patient outcomes.

The Senior Mental Health Nurse will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality care, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments for service users
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating person-centred care for both mental and physical health needs
  • Supervising junior staff and students
  • Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to ensure holistic care
  • Maintaining a safe and therapeutic working environment
  • Acting as a role model for clinical colleagues

Key Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability Nurse with 6-12 months post-registration experience
  • Completed preceptorship or equivalent programme
  • Active NMC registration
  • Strong knowledge of NMC standards and professional practices
  • A positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills
