Essential:

  • At Brain kind Neurological Care Centre Lancashire (NCCL) we offer a dual service, providing a therapy led level 2 specialist neuro rehabilitation service and specialist neurological care to residents with a range of neurological conditions.

  • We receive and screen referrals from professionals within inpatient and community settings across Lancashire and South Cumbria

About the role:

•The Senior Occupational Therapist role is based within our level 2 neuro rehabilitation unit, working within our interdisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include holistic assessments and treatment of complex neurological patients. Setting and reviewing SMART goals within formal and informal sessions, and supporting clients, families and staff to work towards these goals. You will be required to set realistic expectations for outcomes and communicate these effectively, to facilitate timely discharge planning. You will be required to engage in appropriate community activities, and complete access and home visits across Lancashire and South Cumbria to facilitate assessments and graded discharges.
