This role offers the opportunity to work within our expert neurorehabilitation services, helping individuals regain lost skills and meet their personal goals.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Professionally and legally manage and account for all aspects of your work, including the management of service users in your care.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans.
  • Promote choice in clinical practice, review services to enhance user experience, and enable concerns and complaints to be raised freely.
  • Liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy.
  • Ensure appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date written and electronic records in accordance with professional standards and ensure sensitive information is held securely.
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership, promote clinical supervision, and share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching.
  • Raise awareness within the team regarding clinical governance and risk issues, implementing relevant policies, standards, and guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current and valid registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
  • Relevant postgraduate training in an appropriate specialty.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Experience working in a relevant setting.
  • Demonstrable experience using evidence-based practice and outcome measures.
  • Skilled knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning.
  • Ability to work autonomously, set priorities, confidently assess and manage risk related to occupational performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
