Join a charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injuries across the UK. We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work within our expert neurorehabilitation services, helping individuals regain lost skills and meet their personal goals.
Day-to-day of the role:- Professionally and legally manage and account for all aspects of your work, including the management of service users in your care.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans.
- Promote choice in clinical practice, review services to enhance user experience, and enable concerns and complaints to be raised freely.
- Liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy.
- Ensure appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources.
- Maintain up-to-date written and electronic records in accordance with professional standards and ensure sensitive information is held securely.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership, promote clinical supervision, and share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching.
- Raise awareness within the team regarding clinical governance and risk issues, implementing relevant policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy.
- Current and valid registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
- Relevant postgraduate training in an appropriate specialty.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
- Experience working in a relevant setting.
- Demonstrable experience using evidence-based practice and outcome measures.
- Skilled knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning.
- Ability to work autonomously, set priorities, confidently assess and manage risk related to occupational performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
