One of my clients, a company with excellent staff retention and a welcoming culture, is looking for an Office Manager to join their established team. This is a long-term role where you’ll be an integral part of the business, managing a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Managing purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, preparing statements, completing payroll, and preparing accounts for external accountants.
  • Coordinating staff holidays and organising events.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and management.
  • Updating systems and handling day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Preparing and presenting reports to the board.
  • Managing correspondence, queries, and complaints while ensuring clear and effective communication with external providers.
  • Supporting the MD by attending meetings, writing reports, and delivering presentations.
  • Assisting staff with career development and growth opportunities.

About You:
This role is ideal for someone who’s proactive, hands-on, and thrives in a dynamic environment without a rigid job description. You’ll be comfortable supporting the MD—whether it’s preparing reports or making a cup of tea when needed. Your adaptability and strong organisational skills will set you up for success. Clear communication is key for managing relationships with external providers, and experience with Sage would be an advantage.
