Job Title: No.2 Flexographic Printer

6am-6pm- 1 week days (Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday)
6pm-6am- 1 week nights (Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday)

About my Client:
A converter and laminator of films, papers, and aluminum foil for a wide range of markets and applications. They specialise in flexographic printing and lamination using a wide range of adhesives, from standard solvent-free to specialist water-based adhesives suitable even for microwave and ovenable applications.
Purpose of a No.2 Flexographic Printer:
Running Wide Web Flexographic presses including Bielloni, an Italian machine. Time served experienced printers would be considered if willing to learn new process.
Key responsibilities of a No.2 Flexographic Print Operator:
- Run a Bielloni Wide Web Flexo Press.
- Ensure health & safety requirements within the departments are adhered to at all times.
- To ensure that all print personnel are operating in a safe manner
- To be responsible for the operation of the press
- To minimise downtime and waste within the print department departments
- To develop the efficiency of machine performance by effective trouble shooting and implementing improvements.
- To be responsible for the consumable items used within the print department.
- The effective supervision of the print assistant within the operations, ensuring that all staff have the skills necessary to complete their roles to a high and safe standard.
- Take due care and attention of equipment and resources with particular regard to Health & Safety, hygiene, good housekeeping and basic maintenance.
- To ensure that Health, Safety and Hygiene procedures are followed at all times, including compliance with BRC criteria.
- Carry out effective shift handovers to ensure continued quality and avoid unnecessary downtime issues
- Ensure press speeds are constantly optimised
Skills required for a No.2 Flexographic Printer:
- Flexographic printing experience is essential, particularly printing labels and packaging
- Good problem solving skills with a pro-active, 'can do' attitude
- A team player with good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and able to follow processes and procedures
Experience required for a No.2 Flexographic Print Operator:
- Minimum of 1 years Flexographic Printing experience is essential or be willing to be fully trained up.
- Experience running Wide Web Flexo presses including Bielloni or Mark Andy would be preferred or similar.
