Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Behaviour mentor to join an excellent school in Preston. This role will require 1-1 support to students with SEMH issues. It is essential that you drive for this position as it may be expected that you support the students both inside and outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in managing behaviour and knowledge of SEMH issues, while being patient, understanding and supportive.

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Position - Behaviour Mentor
  • Type of work - 1-1 support for SEMH students
  • Minimum rate of pay - GBP 100 per day (dependant on experience)
  • Hours - 8:30am-4pm (Mon-Fri)
  • Location- Preston
  • Start Date- ASAP
  • End Date- Ongoing (temporary)
  • Full Time/Part Time - Full time only

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
