HLTA - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are currently looking for an experienced HLTA to join a lovely school in Preston supporting complex needs. You will be responsible for leading sessions and activities.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups, leading sessions including sensory and life skills
  • Communicating regularly with other members of staff to monitor progress
  • Positively and effectively managing behaviour
  • Fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive

Position Details:

  • Minimum Rate of Pay: 130 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: After Easter Half-Term

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Ability to work within a small working team
  • Previous experience supporting SEN, in particular sensory and ASD
  • Team Teach training would be highly desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
