Responsibilities
- Shape and maintain a clear perspective on emerging and current policy matters, aligning with overarching and area-specific stances
- Integrate policy development into our business strategy to support and shape both short- and long-term goals
- Identify strategic policy opportunities that meet stakeholder and consumer needs while advancing their objectives
- Draft responses to policy consultations from government and other bodies, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks
- Provide concise briefings to business leads, helping formulate informed policy positions
- Drive impactful legislative and regulatory changes through strategic contributions
 Experience
- Relevant experience in a government, public policy making or strategy role or with 5 years’ experience in utilities/energy
- Proven analytical and commercial skills in policy and strategy development.
- Expertise in navigating complex policy issues, identifying key choices, and making recommendations with both regional and national perspectives.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting strategies and policies to CEO and Director levels, responding to feedback, and refining policy positions.
