Reed/LTA are seeking an experienced Reception Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in the Preston area full time. This role involves taking full responsibility for a reception class, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. The position starts on January 13th and continues until the April half term.

Pay will be from £162.31 to £207.38 depending on experience. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons appropriate for reception-aged children.
  • Assess and record children’s progress, and prepare them for the next stages of their educational journey.
  • Create a vibrant, organised, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in school meetings and events.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance teaching practices and experiences for students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have completed their Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction.
  • Proven experience as a Reception Teacher or in a similar teaching role.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Passion for working with young children and commitment to education.
