REED Education/LTA are seeking a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the Preston area, working within a Key Stage 2 (KS2) classroom. This role is ideal for someone with advanced experience in KS2, who is passionate about supporting childrenā€™s educational and developmental needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering educational activities.
  • Provide support to individual children's and small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
  • Monitor and support the learning environment, ensuring it remains safe and conducive to learning.
  • Assist in preparing resources and setting up equipment needed for daily activities.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a constructive atmosphere.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil's progress and challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant within a KS2 setting.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and classroom management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A patient and creative approach with the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willing to undergo this process).
