This position calls for a Regulatory Specialist to play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with industrial and manufacturing regulations. The successful candidate will be part of the Engineering & Manufacturing Department, applying their skills to meet the regulatory requirements of the industry.

Description

As Regulatory Specialist you will be tasked with the following;

  • The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for influencing the regulatory modifications due to the technological capabilities of a next generation platform
  • The role must ensure that Regulatory Compliance is considered through all requirements where necessary as well as being safe, cost-effective, efficient, and innovative
  • The role will work closely with the MoD to understand the appetite for Continuing Airworthiness regulatory change and how this will affect the future maintenance approach. This may involve challenging the status quo for certification of the platform as the support package looks to future ways of working
  • Working across the FCAS Acquisition Programme & FCAS System of Systems functional teams to ensure Continuing Airworthiness Regulations are integral to design and that clear actions to achieve this are captured
  • Support the development of future Maintenance capability, principally in support of FCAS Acquisition Programme & FCAS System of Systems and assist in providing regular situation reports to the Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) Function
  • Ensure that Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness is integral to the future Manufacturing strategy, with respect to future Continuing Airworthiness Regulations that will be required to support FCAS Acquisition Programme and FCAS System of Systems

Profile

A successful 'Regulatory Specialist' should have:

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience, IENG would be desirable working toward CEng
  • Application of related Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness Competencies will be expected at this level
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness regulations, policies, processes, procedures, and systems (Specifically Part M, 21, 145 & 147)
  • Extensive Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness experience demonstrated in a professional capacity
  • Guides others in application of Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness regulations, policies, processes, and procedures
