Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a scientific discipline
- Demonstrable knowledge of the UK legislations regarding ionising radiation (IRR17, CDG19, REPPIR)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong understanding of radiation protection within the nuclear industry
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Knowledge and understanding of instrumentation for nuclear operations such as waste disposal and recycling
- Experience in radiation protection instrumentation

Role information:

- Support RPA's and health physicists in providing Radiological Health and Safety advice
- Oversee compliance for activities across all site operations
- Deliver Radiation Safety training courses to personnel on site
- Investigate Radiological incidents and undertake corrective action
- Review internal and external dosimetry data
- Undertake radiation risk assessments
