Digital Communications Officer

Location: Lancashire Fire and Rescue Headquarters, Garstang Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 3LH

Salary: Grade 6, Spinal Column Point 20 - 27, £30,296 - £35,745

Working Arrangements: 36.25 hours per week, a flexitime scheme is in operation

An opportunity has arisen for an individual with digital communications skills to join an inclusive and value driven public sector organisation with an outstanding organisational culture.

This is a permanent, full-time role. We offer free car parking, a flexitime scheme, and generous annual leave.

The role involves leading the development of the Service’s digital communications channels within a busy communications department and working alongside colleagues across the organisation.

The successful candidate will deliver our digital communications plan and create inclusive, accessible digital content for a wide range of platforms and target audiences.

It is essential that applicants have a degree or professional qualification in digital communications or a related discipline and experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating digital communications activity.

It is a requirement of the post to provide an on-call communications service on a rota basis for which an additional allowance is paid. This requires of the post holder the ability to travel out of hours across Lancashire within a reasonable timescale.

Closing date for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 16 October 2024 however we reserve the right to close the advert prior to this if sufficient quality applications have been received.

Interviews will take place on Monday 28 October 2024.
