Quality Engineer for a leading Chemicals manufacturer in Lancashire.

Do you have a QA/QC background with a desire to run your own projects and help drive quality improvements? If so, then this is the opportunity for you!

Hours of work:Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours).

Location: Lancashire.

Duration:Permanent position.

Salary: Upto 40k (depending on your skills and experience)

You will be involved in:

  • Quality investigations (RCA, CAPA).
  • Conducting training and development exercises across the laboratory, production and engineering.
  • Reporting quality measurements against KPIs and internal auditing.
  • Collating and reviewing data to make improvements to site operations and quality.
  • Look at and implementing continuous improvement activities across the site and directly support the site quality manager.

What do you need to be considered?

You will need:

  • Science or engineering qualification ideally to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of Quality systems (CAPA, NCR, RCA, internal auditing).
  • Previous knowledge of laboratory testing.
  • Knowledge of lean & six sigma principles in relation to problem solving and SPC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • If you have a background in process chemistry or R&D this would be a distinct advantage.
