Lean Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Manager

Job Description
•    Drive lean manufacturing initiatives throughout the manufacturing Dept 
•    Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency
•    Train and mentor staff on lean manufacturing principles and make us more efficient 
•    Support the Management and identify and solve operational issues 
•    Take responsibilty for Quality Control , checking that all products manufactured on the factory floor are high quality and manufactured to the systems company manual and anything of poor quality is highlighted and addressed with the Factory Manager 
•    Lead projects to reduce waste and improve quality
•    Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
•    Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles

The Successful Applicant


A successful Lean Manufacturing Engineer should have:
•    Experience in implementing and improving lean principals in a manufacturing site
•    A degree in Engineering or a related field who can read drawings (CAD desired)
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements
•    Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train staff
•    Can work under pressure and is keen to learn and is proactive
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Experience 
•    Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, 
•    Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential. 
•    Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. 
•    Experience with logic controllers and the ability to interpret schematics is highly desirable. 
•    Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions in a manufacturing setting.
