Junior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

I have an excellent opportunity for a Junior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join a small, but extremely busy RICS regulated commercial consultancy and work on a 1-1 basis with a Chartered Commercial Professional with 16 years experience in the industry.

Here you will work 1-1 basis with the owner and have exposure to a range of different clients and scenarios within the UKs civil engineering and rail industries. As an RICS counsellor, your 1-1 training will be an amazing opportunity to learn and develop quickly and also to take your RICS qualifications.

Along with this you will receive specific training in estimating methods, software and programming and will receive your own licence and software. Further training with include external consultants to provide contract and standard method of measurement training.

The consultancy itself provides high quality estimating and quantity surveying services to sub-contractors and main contractors across the civil engineering and rail industries.

The role is available due to an influx of long-term work that will see you busy for at least 2 years with long term possibilities and opportunities with this consultancy.

Ideal experience required:

Commutable distance from Preston is essential

1-3 years experience in a QS or Estimating role

Exposure to standard method of measurement is essential

Some exposure to NEC forms of contract

Experienced raising a compensation event
