We are currently seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor, based in Preston, who operate on the North West region. Our client works predominately within the new build and refurbishment sector, working across multiple sectors such as; education, public and leisure buildings, blue light, healthcare and maintenance. The successful individual will be joining an experienced preconstruction team where you'll assist with the running of the department.

Trainee Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
  • Collaborating with the surveying and estimating teams to prepare tenders for subcontractors, ensuring timely submission.
  • Supporting the smooth administration of a dynamic estimating team and providing assistance to team members.
  • Coordinating with estimating team members, subcontractors, and suppliers to help prepare tender bids.
  • Managing the receipt and organisation of drawings and plans, including maintaining drawing registers.
  • Conducting site visits as required.
  • Handling electronic tender and contract documents, as well as other digital communications, throughout the tender and bid process.
  • Assisting and coordinating with other company employees and management as needed.
Trainee Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
  • Full driving license
  • A construction related degree, preferably in quantity surveying
  • Good communication skills
  • Confident and outgoing
  • Computer literate
  • Good time keeping
  • Be able to work as a team or under their own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
