Job Title: Warehouse Shift Supervisor
Salary: Up to £35,000k
Location: Preston
Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday- Thursday ( (Apply online only) ) Friday (Apply online only) ) Day shifts
Our client based in Preston is looking for an exceptional warehouse supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will overlook all warehouse functions, including Goods In, Goods Out and stock control.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager:
- Being proactive and consistent with supporting your teams in their performance, welfare and conduct in line with company policies and procedures
Maintain an efficient Goods Inward and Outbound operations.
Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with the Company procedures and operations.
Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, and transportation.
Optimising and coordinating orders delivery.
Supervise, coach and train dispatch team.
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timelines targets.
Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Goods inwards and goods out process improvement.
Skills and experience sought:
Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor /Manager
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Attention to detail
Computer skills in industry software and business information systems
Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
