Location: Kirkham, Preston (fully office-based)
Hours/ Days: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Our client, as a growing business, has a fantastic new job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant, to support the Accounts Manager to proactively deliver an exceptional business accounting and payroll.
The role:
路 Processing supplier invoices.
路 Allocating invoices against purchase orders.
路 Raising any invoice queries with suppliers.
路 Certifying subcontractor applications for payment with respective project managers.
路 Processing & paying labour only subcontractor invoices on weekly basis.
路 Issuing on site labour timesheets weekly to project managers for approval.
路 Liaising with clients and the team to ensure all required information is gathered.
路 Support with processing the monthly payroll.
The person:
路 Previous experience in an accounts/ payroll assistant role or similar.
路 Great systems experience ideally including an accounts/ payroll system.
路 Confident user of MS Office and IT systems.
路 Strong numeracy skills.
路 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
路 Ability to work at pace, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
路 Highly organised and able to plan and manage own workload.
路 Exceptional attention to detail.
路 Ability to follow processes accurately and consistently.
路 Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and key contacts across the business.
路 Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and propose solutions.
路 Energy, enthusiasm and confidence.
路 Basic knowledge of accounting procedures.
路 Experience/ knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is desirable.
