Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to work within the Commercial Finance team as part of the internal National Finance Office

The role will involve aspects of financial administration, data manipulation and management, report production and development and financial analysis in support of the Commercial Finance operation across a number of their business faculties within the UK.

It will also include involvement in month end reporting cycle and the annual budgeting process.

Role

  • To develop a thorough understanding of the business and its internal finance reporting systems and methodologies.
  • Apply business understanding to enable improved operational performance to be delivered within the region through the production of meaningful and accurate information and reports.
  • To assist, as required, the Commercial Finance Leads in their support of their different business faculties, providing assistance in identifying and highlighting aspects for performance improvement in areas such as:
  • Working capital management
  • To undertake research review and analysis with a view to identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and maximise sustainable profitable growth - and recommend actions to improve results and work with others to achieve changes.

Experience

  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • Computer proficient with an aptitude for MS Excel.
  • A credible individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with others to produce actions to solve problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with high and varied workloads.
  • Accurate, strong attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills, diplomatic.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Good time management and methodical.
  • Proactive, self-starter, tenacious and must be a completer/finisher of tasks.
