We are seeking an English Teacher to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills courses across multiple locations including Preston, Blackburn, and North Liverpool. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator who is passionate about English literature and language and is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students at GCSE and Functional Skills levels.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment by using a range of teaching strategies that cater to varied learning needs.
- Encourage students to think independently and to express their ideas with confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
- Full teaching qualification at Level 5.
- Proven experience in teaching English at GCSE level or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the English curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
