Vision for Education is currently recruiting a History Teacher for an excellent secondary school in Preston starting January 2025.

The role 

This role will start January 2025 and be to cover a resignation.  The school will look to appoint permanently from September 2025 so has the possibility to transfer  direct with the school.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS and will be a subject specialist in History. 

The school’s preference would be to get a History specialist, however, they will consider a Humanities specialist of geography or RE as long as they have previous experience of teaching History. 

The school 

The school is situated in Preston. The successful History Teacher will work in a supportive and friendly Humanities department. The school is forward thinking and benefits from a proactive Senior Leadership team.

Requirements 

To be considered for the History Teacher position, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). 

• Have experience teaching in Secondary schools, ideally up to GCSE.

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Subject specialists.

• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
