We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sewing Machinist to join our client's production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precision sewing and assembly of luxury down pillows, custom window seats, and various soft furnishings. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Sewing and Assembly
Operate industrial sewing machines and other sewing equipment to produce luxury down pillows, custom window seats, and soft furnishings.
Follow detailed patterns and specifications to ensure precision in all sewing tasks.
Assemble and finish products with a high level of craftsmanship.
Quality Control
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and correct any defects or issues in the sewing process.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure product quality and safety.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the design and production teams to understand project requirements and time lines.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve product design and production processes.
Assist in training new team members as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist, preferably in luxury soft furnishings or a related field.
Proficient in operating industrial sewing machines and other sewing equipment.
Strong understanding of fabrics, patterns, and sewing techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship.
Ability to read and interpret patterns, specifications, and technical drawings.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
