About Us:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Childcare Workers to join our team at Hesketh Bank. Our service provides a holistic approach, offering residential care, education, and health support to children and young people in need.

The Role:

As a Childcare Worker, you will be an integral part of a supportive staff team, working on a 24-hour rota, 7 days a week. Your role will involve:

  • Providing care in a children's residential home, adhering to Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Delivering trauma-informed care based on psychological formulations.
  • Building strong relationships with young people to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Preparing young people for a positive transition into adulthood through relational care.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards it.
  • Be committed to supporting vulnerable and traumatised young people.
  • Demonstrate good childcare practices and understand the needs of children and young people.
  • Handle emotional and physical conflict and respond appropriately to crises.
  • Understand child development, attachment, and the impact of trauma.
