Job Introduction

Experienced Support Worker

Pay rate: £14 -15 per hour(weekly pay) Shift Pattern: Days - 08.00am till 20.00pm with flexibility to pick up adhoc night shiftsRequirements: Full UK Drivers Licence, Care Experience. 

Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorshipand we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Preston area and able to commute. 

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for the right person to work with a gentleman living in Garstang area. This gentleman has multiple complex conditions e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, Scoliosis and other conditions requiring our support. If you are resilient, reliable, empathetic and looking for a role that truly makes a difference to someone else’s life then we want to hear from you. 

Key Responsibilities

Support Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping. 

  • Support with all facets of daily living.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
  • Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.
  • Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Complex Care Experience e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, Scoliosis and other conditions requiring our support. 
  • Clinical skills, our client has multiple complex conditions e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, Scoliosis and other conditions requiring our support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
