Are you a recent English graduate looking to start your career in a supportive and challenging role?Do you have a passion for working with young people?We have an exciting opportunity for an English Graduate Support Worker to join a mainstream Secondary School within Preston

The role involves working with students who require extra support with their emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning.

As an English Graduate Support Worker, you will be working closely with our team of experienced professionals to develop and deliver bespoke interventions and support strategies that meet the individual needs of each student.

The role is full-time, working 5 days a week from 8.30am to 3.30pm. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering targeted interventions and support strategies to students with SEMH needs
  • Working closely with teaching staff to ensure that support is integrated into the curriculum.
  • Providing feedback and progress reports to parents and other professionals
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • Experience of working with children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive and resilient attitude
