The Role:
We are seeking dedicated Workers to support deliver rehabilitation, Employment, Training, and Education support as part of the Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Programme. You will serve as both a Support Worker and Activity Facilitator, providing advice, guidance, coaching, and mentoring to a caseload of individuals, including offenders and those marginalised from mainstream services. Through regular 1:1 meetings and group interventions, you will empower participants to overcome barriers and gain meaningful employment.

Duties:

  • Identify learning needs and create customised action plans to support participants' progression into education, training, and employment.
  • Plan and deliver interventions, establishing supportive relationships to guide participants through their rehabilitation and personal development.
  • Facilitate group sessions aimed at improving communication, social interaction, and employability skills through presentations and structured activities.
  • Prepare and develop learning resources to enhance participants' skills and confidence.
  • Actively job-match and broker employment opportunities, supporting participants in securing and sustaining employment.
  • Record all interventions, progress, and participant outcomes on the CRM system, ensuring seamless coordination of further activities and support.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring, assisting participants in planning and implementing future actions to achieve their goals.


Required Skills:

  • Experience working with offenders, or individuals marginalised from mainstream services, offering training, guidance, or counselling.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with participants.
  • Proven experience in delivering both one-to-one and group sessions to high standards.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting offender rehabilitation and desistance theory is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with National Probation Services, HM Prison environments, and local/national employment opportunities.
  • Relevant qualifications in Information, Advice, and Guidance, or teaching, are preferred but not essential if supported by equivalent experience in intensive individual support.


Due to the nature of this role, you will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check and there will be regular travel across the region so access to your own vehicle is essential.
