Qualified Social Worker - Children's Services

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our client's compassionate and dynamic Children's Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, working closely with families to deliver positive outcomes. Your work will involve conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing effective support plans, and providing high-quality social work interventions that align with statutory requirements and best practices. You will manage a varied caseload that includes complex cases, ensuring timely and well-informed decision-making to support children's safety and well-being.

You will work collaboratively with children, families, and professionals from multiple agencies to address risks and meet identified needs. Safeguarding duties will form a key part of the role, including carrying out Section 47 investigations and preparing reports for court proceedings when required. Establishing trusting relationships with children and families will be essential to help them achieve positive progress and long-term well-being.

To be successful in this role, you must be a Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification and registration with Social Work England (SWE). You should have experience in children's social care, particularly in areas such as child protection and safeguarding. Strong skills in assessment, risk management, and planning are essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration and build trust.
