We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving secondary school in Preston. This role is ideal for someone with experience in supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly children, in any setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN through one-to-one and small group sessions, ensuring they feel encouraged and supported in their learning.
  • Classroom Assistance: Assist the class teacher with classroom activities, preparation, and administrative tasks to maintain an effective learning environment.
  • Break and Lunchtime Duties: Supervise and support students as needed during break and lunch periods.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with SEN is essential, ideally within a childcare or educational setting.
  • Qualifications: Qualifications in childcare or as a teaching assistant are preferred but not essential.
  • DBS Certification: A valid, enhanced DBS certificate is required or the willingness to apply for one before commencing work.
  • Eligibility: Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • References: Ability to provide professional references from previous employment or recent studies.
