SEN Teaching Assistant:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a lovely primary school near to Preston. This is a 1-1 role supporting a Year 3 pupil with SEN.

Position Details:

  • Location: Preston
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: 8am-3pm
  • Minimum rate of pay: 85 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: January 2025
  • End date: Ongoing
  • Type of work: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full time only

Responsibilities:

  • Managing behaviour positively
  • Preparing resources and establishing learning areas
  • Communicating with other members of staff, parents and the SENDCO

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desired
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification would be highly desirable

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold right to work in the UK

Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
