Senior Speech and Language Therapist

Preston/Leyland/Darwin

Salary: 37,668 to 44,699 per annum, pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours: 40hrs per week - Term time only plus 2 weeks (41 weeks per year worked)

Our private sector client are recruiting a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to support their therapy team across 3 of their their North West Schools, on a permanent basis.

About the schools:

The schools provide flexible day placements for students aged 5-19 years with communication and associated difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some students may also be on the autistic spectrum or face anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will work collaboratively with the sites, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for children and young people with developmental trauma, autsim, ADHD and SEMH needs.
  • Hold a small speech and language therapy caseload for the three specialist schools.
  • With support from the Clinical Lead, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice.

Requirements:

  • You will be a registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
