Jonesco (Preston) Ltd is a leading manufacturer of moulded plastic products, operating in three markets: vehicle, fire and environmental safety. Jonesco is a market leader in several European countries as well as shipping to over 60 countries worldwide. We operate from a 4-acre manufacturing site in Preston, Lancashire and a 3.7-acre distribution site nearby that employs around 155 employees. We also have a subsidiary company in Seclin, south of Lille, France that employs around 17 employees. The Jonesco group has a turnover of around £22m.

What will your role look like?

  • Taking delivery of goods and supplies
  • Completion of Goods In and Transfer paperwork
  • Storing and movement of goods and stacking in correct stock locations where required
  • Inspection of goods for transfer to JDC
  • Preparation of Stock for transfer to JDC Warehouse or return to supplier
  • Loading and unloading of goods from vehicles by hand, pallet truck or forklift (or other equipment)
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock movements, adjustments and receipts
  • Assisting with regular stock takes and annual stock take
  • Keeping warehouse, yard and working areas clean and tidy
  • Topping up of specified picking bays
  • Collection and Segregation of scrap pallets
  • Processing of Waste streams from JDC Warehouse (Cardboard, plastic etc) – Baler/Compactor etc
  • Stripping down of pallets
  • Stacking of goods in correct storage bays
  • Stacking of Empty pallets
  • Liaising with other departments on any issues that arise and could impact the warehouse function
  • Other duties as required by the business
