Transfer Operative | Preston | 39 hours over a 4 day working week | £11.64 per hour, in addition to other pay elements including merit and FLT allowance, equating to £12.29 per hour

What will your role look like?
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies
- Completion of Goods In and Transfer paperwork
- Storing and movement of goods and stacking in correct stock locations where required
- Inspection of goods for transfer to JDC
- Preparation of Stock for transfer to JDC Warehouse or return to supplier
- Loading and unloading of goods from vehicles by hand, pallet truck or forklift (or other equipment)
- Maintaining accurate records of stock movements, adjustments and receipts
- Assisting with regular stock takes and annual stock take
- Keeping warehouse, yard and working areas clean and tidy
- Topping up of specified picking bays
- Collection and Segregation of scrap pallets
- Processing of Waste streams from JDC Warehouse (Cardboard, plastic etc) – Baler/Compactor etc
- Stripping down of pallets
- Stacking of goods in correct storage bays
- Stacking of Empty pallets
- Liaising with other departments on any issues that arise and could impact the warehouse function
- Other duties as required by the business
