GI Group are currently seeking a skilled Warehouse operative to join our team based in Heysham. Job details: - Monday - Friday - 08:00 - 16:00 - £12 per hourFor this role you will be working with Fine chemicals and Hazardous materials so it is important you have experience with working with these materials.Duties:Handling of fine chemicals either in bulk quantities or prepacks in accordance with CEM (Chemical Exposure Management) regulations. Ability to follow simple instructions without deviation.Manufacture Cell Culture Media for use in the biotech industry that is scientific in nature by carrying out chemical processing of raw media through to final packaged product using semi-automated packaging equipment. following established protocols and instructions.Packs all samples for transport accurately to ensure physical and thermal integrity.To participate in the collation of Export Shipments and ensure Shipments are loaded accurately and all paperwork is completed in.To maintain good stock levels of all consumables required in your working area and understand the procedure for its requisitionsTo maintain up to date records and paperwork necessary to the role.To ensure full compliance with site Security policies.To comply & conform with the environmental and quality policy, procedures and with the requirements of the IMS (Integrated Management System) & QMS (Quality Management System) and act appropriately with regard to issues affecting impacts on the environment and conforming to product requirements.Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities on site.Requirements:A good general education, including verbal and written English.Good attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical problem-solving abilitiesSophisticated PC skillsIf you have previous experience in a similar role and are looking for a stable and rewarding career, apply now to join our team!
