Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover of £150 million, is looking to appoint a General Foreman to join their civil engineering team on a permanent basis. This role will be based on an infrastructure project in East Lothian.
Key Responsibilities:
As a General Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all site operations, ensuring that work is delivered to the highest standards. You will work closely with contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience managing all operational activities on-site
- Ability to maintain accurate site diaries and records
- A strong track record of implementing health & safety and quality procedures
- Previous experience working for a civil engineering contractor
- Infrastructure project experience (essential)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with site staff, sub-contractors, and senior management
