Job Title: CNC Machinist

Salary: £18 per hour + 33% shift premium for early/back shifts

Hours: Early Shift: Mon - Thurs (6am - 2pm) / Fri (6am-11am)

Back Shift: Mon - Thurs (2pm - 10pm) / Fri (11am - 4pm)

30-minute/15-minute both breaks paid

Shifts are rotating, following a training period on the day shift

Location: Prestwick, Ayrshire

 

About the Role

Talento Group is excited to partner with a leading precision manufacturer to recruit a skilled CNC Machinist (Millers) for their team at Prestwick Aerospace Park in Ayrshire. This manufacturer is renowned for delivering high-quality precision products from their state-of-the-art facility in Ayrshire. They are committed to investing in the latest technology and training, ensuring cost-effective and timely solutions for their clients. The team is the driving force behind their success, combining creativity and innovation while maintaining a focus on quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines for both internal and external milling based on customer specifications.

Utilize manual milling machines when required.

Use inspection equipment to ensure components adhere to precise sizes, tolerances, and surface finishes.

Play a critical role in delivering high-quality work that meets customer needs.

 

Skills & Experience:

Apprenticeship/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent

Recent CNC experience as a time-served Miller

Experience in programming and operating CNC milling machines

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Knowledge of Fanuc programming language

Detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and self-motivation

Enjoys working in a small, skilled team and can start contributing quickly

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal abilities

Must live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK
