Description
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be charged to service and maintain commercial and industrial installations within a highly specialised, precision and critical engineering environment within a manufacturing facility. In fields ranging from:-
- Maintenance of all plant and ancillary equipment on the site.
- Pro-active and Re-active Maintenance activities Within all aspects of the buildings and associated Plant ie:
- Power Generation,
- Compressed Air Systems ,
- Steam Boiler Plant, Hot Water / Heating Systems ,
- Carbon Dust Extraction Systems,
- Sewage Waste Treatment ,
- Rotating Jigs both Hydraulic and Electro-mechanical,
- Pumping Systems ,
- Fire-Pump & Sprinkler Systems,
- Spray Booths Overhead Cranes.
Profile
Responsibility and Duties
- Carry out effective solo and team work supervised activities.
- Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental procedures, rules and regulations at all times.
- Keep satisfactory records of daily duties and completed works as instructed or requested.
- Assist in the Interface with clients, customers, sub-contractors and suppliers as required.
- Diligently, effectively and satisfactorily complete in good time and to a high standard, any reasonable requested duties for which you are trained and or suitably and sufficiently experienced.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, technical, administration and management staff to achieve the objective.
- Out of normal hours working (overtime) may be required from time to time by mutual agreement.
Job Offer
- An attractive basic pay of £34,651 with a shift allowance of £4,276 and an annual bonus of £3,000 paid at Christmas, bringing the total package to £41,927.
- On-call requirement which is 1 every 6 or 7 weeks.
- Weekend overtime is available and optional.
