Titan is collaborating with a Freight Forwarder in Prestwick seeking an Ocean Import Operator to join their team.
The role offers hybrid working hours, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
Candidates should have experience in a busy Freight Forwarding environment and a good understanding of ocean imports and necessary documentation.
Responsibilities include arranging international consignments, liaising with shipping lines, and tracking shipments, while providing professional customer service.
The position offers a salary of up to £34,000, and applicants should have relevant experience in a similar role.

Titan are currently working with a Freight Forwarder based in Prestwick who are looking for an Ocean Import Operatorto join their team

This role offers hybrid working hours - 2 days in the office, 3 days at home

This role requires similar experience of working within a busy Freight Forwarding environment and a good understanding of the necessary processes and documentation.

Role responsibilities -

Arrangement of international consignments according to client instructions and requirements
End to end freight forwarding working within the Ocean Import team
Liaising with shipping lines and partners to arrange shipments
Confirming quotes, pricing and timelines with clients for shipments
Tracking all shipments and notifying clients of any changes to timings of cargo arriving
Ensure all enquiries or other communications are actioned promptly and efficiently
Provide professional handling of any customer queries

Requirements -

Knowledge and understanding of ocean imports
Good communication skills, both verbal & written
Friendly, calm and professional manner
Accustomed to working to fixed deadlines and under pressure
Enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated
Well organised with the ability to work closely with internal departments

Previous experience within a similar environment is preferred

The company offers a great working environment, working hours are Monday to Friday, offering a salary up to £34,000
