Position: Secondary School Teaching Assistant

Role & Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of our school’s support system, working alongside our teaching staff to deliver high-quality education and help students achieve their best. Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting Classroom Activities: Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons across various subjects, ensuring all students are engaged and included.
1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide targeted support to students who may need extra help, including those with special educational needs (SEN). You’ll work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and improve skills.
Supporting Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive classroom environment by managing student behaviour in line with the school's policies, promoting respect, cooperation, and focus.
Administrative Assistance: Assist with tasks such as preparing classroom resources, setting up materials for lessons, and helping with general classroom organization.
Encouraging Student Development: Motivate students, foster their confidence, and support their personal and academic growth.

What We’re Looking For:

Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and helping them succeed.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
Adaptability: A flexible approach to supporting students with varying needs and learning styles.
Experience (Desirable, but not essential): Experience working with children or young people is helpful, but we’re happy to train the right candidate who is enthusiastic and eager to learn.
Patience and Empathy: A positive, patient, and understanding approach to supporting students, especially those who may require additional help.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
