Finance Temp - Management Accounting | Hybrid in Princes Risborough (4 days at home, 1 day in the office)

A well-regarded professional services provider based in Princes Risborough is seeking a proactive and skilled Finance Temp with strong management accounting expertise to support its finance team during a crucial transitional period. This hybrid opportunity offers flexible working (four days from home, one day in the office) and a competitive hourly rate of £18.00 to £20.00, depending on experience.

This role has arisen due to short-term capacity challenges and a current skills gap, with the successful candidate expected to provide vital support during the organisation’s annual audit process and the ongoing stabilisation of a recently implemented financial system.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the team in preparation for the external audit (May to July), ensuring accurate and timely financial data delivery.
Assist with the production of management accounts, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
Provide general finance support across a range of ad hoc tasks—these may include transaction processing, data analysis, and report generation.
Work independently and apply sound judgement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where immediate contribution is essential.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience in the charitable or not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
Proficient in producing management accounts with a strong understanding of reconciliations and variance analysis.
Comfortable operating within a team of around 12 people and contributing positively to a calm and supportive work culture.
Ideally professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or similar), though candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
Confident, composed, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Role Details:

Contract: 3 months
Location: Princes Risborough (1 day per week in-office)
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Rate: £18.00-£20.00 per hour (DOE)
