Teaching Assistant – Autism Support – Princes Risborough – September Start

The SENCO of a school in the Princes Risborough area is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team to work in a 1:1 supporting role with an autistic child.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a forward-thinking, modern school. With support from the SENCO and Deputy Head, you will be working on a full-time basis in order to build a good solid working relationship with the child.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be qualified to Level 2 NVQ EYFS/ Teaching and Learning in Schools or above – OR an equivalent qualification or degree in a childcare or social care related subject. (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
  • Experience working with Autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Prior experience supporting children with special needs on a 1:1 basis or within an SEN school.
  • A teaching assistant who has the drive and determination to make a difference every day.
