Reed Finance are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager for a dynamic team, where you will play a crucial role in managing all finance functions below the Finance Director. This position is ideal for a fully qualified chartered accountant with significant experience in the manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance department, with opportunities to grow into a more senior role reporting directly to the board of directors.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage the finance function, ensuring efficient use of resources and upholding high standards in reporting.
  • Execute finance processes including budgets, VAT returns, management accounts, cash flow projections, and specific financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare management account reporting to the Finance Director.
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to assist in the reporting and analysis of project performance.
  • Manage and develop the Business Administration Apprentice who assists with the finance function.
  • Process payroll with support from an external payroll processor.
  • Support team members with various tasks to ensure smooth and effective operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Experience as a Finance Manager or similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in UK accounting standards and modern finance software (e.g., Xero, Sage).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • High level of attention to detail and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
