Job Title: Assistant Accountant - Fixed Term Contract

About the Role:

Search Consultancy is supporting a social enterprise organisation to recruit for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join their team in Pudsey. This role will be on a fixed term contract will be starting as a 3 month contract with a possibility of extension of another 3 months. This role supports the Office Manager in managing financial accounts and company ledgers.

Job Description:

You will prepare financial documents like invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, monitor and reconcile petty cash and report on debtors and creditors. You will also assist with budget planning, monitoring, and forecasting and help develop processes for financial integration and automation.

Requirements:

  • Experience with monthly bank reconciliations and financial systems.
  • Strong skills in financial management and administrative systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, spreadsheets, and payroll software.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team and manage your own workload.

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Experience in maintaining financial records and preparing reports.
  • Teamwork experience.

What We Offer:

This role will offer a salary that will be paid on an hourly basis of £29,000 per annum, full-time hours working Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm and Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. You will also be working on an hybrid style working pattern and will receive full training by a positive and supportive work environment.
