Job Title: Driver Trainer (North)

Location: Covering Northern England, with travel to client sites

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (occasional weekend work during busy periods)

About the Role

As a Driver Trainer at TRC, you will be employed directly by us, delivering exceptional training and support for drivers across a variety of client sites. Your role will include:

  • Driver Training: Delivering both practical and theory-based training for client assessments.
  • Client Engagement: Visiting client sites to understand their specific needs, tailoring training accordingly, and preparing drivers for success.
  • Course Delivery: Holding group training sessions, 1-to-1 training, and bespoke courses as required.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all training aligns with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Support: Providing additional training and assistance to the business when needed.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with the following qualifications and experience:

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles.
  • Valid C+E entitlement, CPC, and Digi Tacho card.
  • Proven experience in a driver training role.
  • Qualified assessor or instructor (RTITB accredited or equivalent).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CPC Instructor qualification (RTITB accredited or equivalent).
  • DVSA Approved Examiner.
  • Transport Manager CPC.
