Information about the Role:

Working as a Cook at Champion House, your duties will include:

路 Creating, preparing, and cooking fresh, nutritious and varied meals for our residents including those who may require modified or special diets.

路 Ensuring preparation and presentation is always to a high standard.

路 planning meals and consulting with residents and care staff to ensure that individual dietary needs and preferences are catered for.

路 Some responsibility for ordering, checking in and controlling supplies.

路 Working as part of a diverse staff team.

路 Opportunities to influence the menu and the dining experience of those within our care. (quarterly review of menus)

路 Ensuring that the dining experience is positive.

路 Ensuring that the kitchen standards are maintained in line with the Safer Food Better Business requirements.

路 To prepare and present food to a high standard and quality.

路 To ensure that you work within an agreed budget.

Information about the Service:

Champion House is a Registered Nursing Home supporting 27 adults who have varying needs because of physical and long term neurological complex conditions including cerebral palsy, brain injury, Huntington鈥檚 disease, motor neurone disease and muscular dystrophy.

We work alongside individuals to develop personalised care plans based on needs, wishes and aspirations.

Out staff team is highly skilled and trained to deliver care to the highest standard.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

The right candidate will have a real passion for Cooking.

路 Relevant experience in a similar setting working as a Chef or Cook.

路 Ability to work on shift/rota pattern, including some weekends.

路 Have the right to the work in the UK.

路 Excellent organisation skills.

路 Working knowledge of the Safe Food Better Business requirements.

路 Ability to work well under pressure.
