Teaching Assistant - Leeds Secondary

We’re looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who can provide valuable support to both students and teachers, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting Students

  • Assist with students’ learning by providing tailored support in the classroom.
  • Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce lesson content.
  • Encourage and motivate students, acting as a positive role model.
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Supporting Teachers

  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
  • Support the teacher in managing behaviour and engagement in lessons.
  • Provide feedback on students’ progress and any areas where they may need extra help.
  • Help set up and maintain a well-organised classroom environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for education and supporting young people.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Relevant qualifications at A-level or equivalent (NQF Level 3) are desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
